This is a realy lovely reliable new introduction. It is still is a versatile low maintenance bushy evergreen shrub with waxy, broadly oval, glossy dark green leaves on reddish-brown stems. It can look beautiful in a winter container.
It produces deliciously scented handsome clusters of tiny star-shaped white flowers which emerge from striking pale pink buds between October and April, providing interest through the winter. It is also quiet fragrant.
Perfect for adding winter interest to shrub borders or containers when most other plants are dormant, it makes a lovely informal flowering hedge and can be used as an evergreen backdrop for ornamental and feature plants.
It has a compact, dome-shaped habit with a Mediterranean appearance and displays small metallic blue-black berries.
Position: Full sun to dense shade
Soil: Prefers a moderately fertile, moist yet well-drained, humus-rich, neutral to acidic soil
