Robinia Frisia Tree | False Acacia Tree
A beautiful tree renowned for its bright golden pinnate leaves throughout the summer. Pendent clusters of small fragrant pea-like white flowers in mid summer which are a very important source of nectar for bees for acacia honey. Grows best in sheltered positions with well drained soils, in full sun and any aspect.
Robinia Frisia is a medium height tree and will reach up to 6m after 10 years. The seeds or pods are poinonous and most other tree parts are toxic apart from the flowers.
An occasional thinning out of some of the branches can be undertaken to encourage fresh replacement growth.
This tree is sold in a 12 litre container and is 150-200cm.
Robinia Frisia has been awarded the Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit indicating that the cultivar has proved to be reliable in appropriate conditions and a good performer.
