Photinia Pink Crispy
Unusual evergreen shrub | Love it or hate it!
Photinia Pink Crispy was released at Chelsea in 2013. I believe the RHS judges at chelsea sugested it should not have been invented when it was launched. I think they are wrong and the fact is it sells so we must like it. It is very different. Its incrediably striking and blends well with other red and silver foliage plants.Yes it is very dazling but in the right place it can bring a lovely hightlight to a border.
The foliage is marbled salmon, red is quite amazing though I think you too will love it or hate it! It is one of the most popular evergreen shrubs in our range, it is easy to grow and does really well in all gardens, and is really colourful. If you have a smaller garden however, you may find yourself having to prune regularly to keep it compact and prevent it growing too large for the position you have offered it, like Photinia Fraseri. It's good towards the back of the border as a canvas to other plants. It also handles shade well.
Height and spread 175cms tall with a width of 100cms
If you are looking for a small photinia try the variety Little Red Robin.
This is a strong plant approx 40 cms tall in a 3 litre container.
