Euonymus alatus is a deciduous bush with vivid fiery red foliage in autumn followed by red/purple seed pods which attract birds.
Stems and branches have an unusual winged, corky appearance, a real winter novelty. Foliage in spring/summer is dark green with small pale green flowers.
Height and spread 2-3m, but can be pruned vigorouosly in spring to any height required.
Try in a patio container for winter interest. Ideal in sun or partial shade.
