Cotoneaster Horizontalis is a vigorous grower and makes an excellent wall or ground covering shrub thriving in almost any situation.
Glossy dark green leaves on this super tough spreading shrub with very pretty pinkish white flowers followed by a mass of red leaves.
The leaves that fall in the autumn turn deep orange to rusty brown before leaving the tree.
Selective pruning of say one third of the shrub's branches each year will give you the benefit of a large shrub - rather than a small tree - which will retain the flowers and berries on the section that is left untouched.
It will grow happily in a northern aspect as well as in full sun.
Grown in a 3 litre pot
