Clematis orientalis is a hardy climber with yellow recurved flowers & attractive tassled seed heads through winter. Clematis orientalis is very vigorous, covers a large area quickly which may be an advantage. Cut back to 30cm in spring, or anytime to remove tangles. Plant in deep, well drained, humus rich soil, in sun or shade.
