This is an early spring flowering alpina clematis is a deciduous perennial climber with bright green serrated tri-pinnate leaves and pale pink and white flowers. It has narrow twisted and pointed petals in spring until early summer with seed heads to follow. Lovely plants for scrambling through shrubs for early interest and two flowing periods.
Easy to prune remove any dead or weak stems in late winter or early spring and cut remaining stems back to the highest pair of strong-growing buds.
To encourage blooms to cover the whole plant train the stems so that they are evenly spaced on their support. As new growth appears in mid-spring, train this to fill any gaps.
Plant in any position.
The plant is grown in a 2.5 litre pot and is approx 80 cm tall

Beautiful early flowers that are very easy to grow.
Ready to be planted all year round.
Deciduous clematis (not listed as evergreen) will loose their leaves during winter but will re-shoot in spring with fresh new leaves.
