Whist we are a retail Nurseries we are also growers and supply many landscapers and garden designers who often find it helpful to have such a concentrated selection of plants and trees in one place.
The Nursery changes with the seasons offering spring bedding through autumn winter, christmas trees and holly wreaths, bulbs for the autumn and summer months and now summer bedding not to mention those hanging baskets. The Nurseries is divided into areas of Seasonal Bedding, Ornamental Trees, Alpines, Cottage Garden Plants, Shrubs, Herbs, Fruit Bushes and Fruit Trees, Climbers, Roses (inc David Austin), Grasses, Ferns and Bamboos, Topiary and Architectural Plants. In each department you will find a wealth of choice such as in the Climbers where there are currently 80 plus varieties of Clematis.
In the quiet but jovial atmosphere you may peruse many of the homegrown plants at your leisure. Moreover, with the help of honest advice you can create your very own lush healthy oasis in your garden.
Often kept quiet is the Country Shop, which plays host to an Aladdin’s cave of hand made scented candles and natural soaps, creamware, wicker storage, log baskets, potato hoppers, garden trugs, furniture, lamps, jugs, and a complete range of gardenware. Many of our suppliers can be seen in the stands at Chelsea Flower Show.
The Nurseries is always kept well stocked, so whether you visit in the depths of winter or sunny June there will always be something to interest you.
If you enjoy gardening why not join our FREE Garden Club we have a Garden School and run garden related workshops through the year. Take a look in the Information at our talks and workshops.
